I began my yoga journey in the summer of 2011, when I was a wondering river gypsy, looking for something to give me a little stability. Yoga helped me feel empowered in one of the most important seasons of my life, when I was discovering my voice, my strength, both on and off of the water. When I decided to pursue teacher training, I knew thta I wanted to carry that same empowerment throughout my teachings and into my students. I am passionate about helping my students find purpose through self discovery, in connection to their bodies through mindfulness, breath, and movement. When we discover our edge in a pose, we find a strength that we didn't know we possessed, leading us to a deeper connection to our bodies. My ultimate goal is for my students to leave class with more balances, clarity and peace-both on and off of the mat. When I'm not teaching, you can find me playing in the woods with my kids, River and Emma, or teaching paddle board yoga through my company, The River Yogis. I am a wellness advocate through Young Living and find the greatest joy in teaching and inspiring others toward healthy lifestyles.
