We will finish off our berry “talk” with my favorite berry of them all… Raspberries.
When these delicious little treats are ripe and in season, I just can’t get enough. Raspberries, like the other berries discussed, are full of some amazing health benefits and the best part is that they are just plain delicious!

This is just the short list of the nutritional facts that one cup of raspberries provides us. All of this nutrition with only 64 calories!
Here are a few health benefits of enjoying raspberries:
- Boost heart health
- Help with weight loss
- Can assist with managing diabetes
- Fights aging
- Supports eye health
- Eases arthritis pain
Studies have shown that the amount of fiber in these berries will slow down the digestive process and makes you feel fuller longer. This, accompanied with the trace mineral manganese, helps keep your metabolic rate high and therefore helps to burn fact. This means that raspberries can assist with weight loss!
Wow, something that is good for you, tastes great, and has the benefit of weight loss? Yes!
Raspberries have a much longer growing season than strawberries so we have a longer amount of time to enjoy them. You should be able to find raspberries throughout the entire summer.
Growing them at home is also a fun option. The bushes are fairly easy to tend to.
Raspberries contain more fiber and Vitamin C than our “king” blueberries.
