Friday night, September 14th, Thrive Yoga and Wellness celebrated our Grand Opening with 12 Chattanooga based small businesses all in the health, wellness, and beauty industry. Let me tell you, that night was a BLAST! We had a FULL house of smiling, happy faces, interested in experiencing the new studio and learning more about the amazing ways we can Thrive.
Ok, if you didn’t get a chance to come out to help us celebrate, I totally understand. Friday nights, especially here in the early fall, they are tough! I know I had to wrestle my older sister away from a football game (so I’m sure she wasn’t the only one) and my younger sister was traveling for work…so I totally get you guys being busy. That’s why I thought you’d love to see some photos and hear a little bit about what you missed!
Your beautiful new studio was transformed into an event and party hall! Yes, we still had some yoga going on in the Lotus Room, but in our Lavender room, we had 4 healers all coming together to provide their services, from Fire Cupping from The Mi Lu Center, Chair Massages from Soft Touch Therapy Massage, Group Healing Sessions with Meritt LaPlumb of The Energy Center, and Kinesiology by Richard McIntyre out of The Wellness Tree. Our practice room was truly transformed into an arena of healing for countless people as they sampled the services provided by these amazing practitioners. I don’t think a single person left without feeling touched by one of these guys (and gals) and I know that they stayed completely busy until the closing time bell happened, just before 9pm.
Outside our Lavender room, Ashley from Illuminate with Ashley was passing out free aloe samples and doing mini microdermabrasion sessions, and Monika from Fizio was performing Injury Screenings. Both of these ladies had some super excited patients leaving their room—with either new exercises or products to try at home. As we move further up the hallway, into our entrance room, you would have been AMAZED at what was going on out front!
Right in our Lobby, we had These Girls Cook, who provided simply AMAZING appetizers for folks to nibble on as they poured over the beautiful jewelry, books, stones, and so much more from both Ritual and Remedy and local Chakra jewelry designer, Tracey. My wonderful husband, and the brains behind our juice and smoothie bar, Fresh and Smooth, made some samples of a couple of our favorite juices, which seemed to be a big hit because they were completely gone before the night was over! We also had ladies from Beauty Express come in to give us their Henna art on so many super happy hands. Last, but Certainly not least, Cassandra Tucker, from Divine Purity provided the most AMAZING hand scrubs with her disappearing sugar scrub! Oh my goodness, I got to partake in that hand scrub and my hands are STILL so much softer the next day!
To call this event a success doesn’t really capture the fun that was had by everyone. Thrive family new and old got together, celebrated our new space, communed together over food and drinks while sampling some really cool yoga and wellness procedures. People have already asked me when we were going to do it again, and all I can say is…..I’m not sure!
My husband and I are still recovering! Parties are fun, but a LOT of WORK!
So from all your friends here at Thrive Yoga and Wellness, and all the amazing partners that came out to celebrate with us, THANK YOU! We are so excited to experience this growth with you and we can’t wait to see what happens next! Until then…we will see you on the mat SOON!
